| | | Re: My Favourite Flower Photos of 2008 Lets hope we get many more contributions to this thread. I never cease to be amazed at the diversity of wild plants in our own backyard. (And the ability of people to get great photos of them).
Claire,
Is that a white Herb Robert? - I never knew it threw up white forms. Nice photo for such a small flower. Very crisp focus.
Gypsy Orchid,
I like the Lizard Orchid photo - it shows very well the truly strange shapes of the flowers.
Leifus,
I like the Goat's-Beard photo - a great shot showing the symmetry of the plant.
Regards
Mike. |

| | | Re: My Favourite Flower Photos of 2008 A selection of my photos from the summer just gone, chosen for the rarity of the subject rather than quality of the image - I make no claims to be a skilled photographer! Hooker's Inula ( Inula hookeri) Least Yellow-sorrel (Oxalis exilis) Ithuriel's Spear (Treitelea laxa) Pale Pink-sorrel (Oxalis incarnata) Purple Shamrock (Oxalis triangularis) Perennial Sunflower (Helianthus x laetiflorus) Smaller Tree-mallow ( Lavatera cretica) Hairy Canary-clover ( Doryncium hirsutum)

| | | Re: My Favourite Flower Photos of 2008 lets review my favourites from this thread:
I like JHs tansy and blue globe thistle and the carline thistle
I like davidbr's pale sorrel
I like DSs great sundew and bog orchids because of the sharpness of such weird plants.
I like GYs lizard orchid because it is such a great photo of such a special plant and the lungwort because of the colours
I like Leif's sainfoin because I haven't seen it yet also love the bee orchid
I like the wood avens seed by agrumpycow
Finally I like Mike's photo of the hawkweed because of how the sun captures the plant even though it is so thin. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
