| | | Creeping Buttercup? Is this creeping buttercup or another species. It was a very tall plant - bout 45 cm above ground - height of meadow buttercup. The leaves were wrong for meadow buttercup but similar to creeping buttercup. |

| | | Re: Creeping Buttercup? Sorry to add to the confusing I`m going for the Creeping Buttercup ,looking at the images in the book the leaves are all wrong also the size Meadow is 18-25mm whereas the Creeping 100-150mm

Look for whether the flower stalk is smooth or grooved and whether the sepals are spreading or reflexed (bent back on themselves). The flower stalk on yours seems to be smooth which would rule out creeping buttercup instantly.
