Welcome to WAB. Here or the fungi forum are good places to post on lichens.

I wish I could help you, but I'm a relative newcomer to lichens. Sometimes AlanS is around and he's very helpful.

I assume the tree is a birch. I would find it useful to have a closer view. My impression is that there are (at least) two grey lichens here: one with flattish lobes and another with a much less smooth surface. However, I can't really see the detail.

Sorry to be unhelpful. I find looking at other folk's pictures of lichens very useful for trying out what knowledge I have. Of course I hope that I can be useful to others as well.
