| | | Car Park Plant. I keep seeing this sweet looking plant in a car park i use near to a heath. The car park has a lot of loose gravel and it seems to thrive there. A pleasant change to see this delicate pink , instead of white and yellows. Stands about 12cms .
Can someone please let me know what it is.
Thanks in advance. |

Possibly Common Centaury (Centaurium erythraea)? I'm sure one of the experts will come and tell me where I've gone wrong .... |

No expert though but I recognised it as I took a photo of one myself and it does look like it |

| | | Re: Car Park Plant. I can't see you being wrong, thanks for your help. Is it ' common' by nature as in its name? Maybe it's just me and for once in my life I am going around with my eyes open and starting to notice these things!! |

| | | Re: Car Park Plant. Yep, and what a beautiful flower it is too. Managed to find a white variety of it in Liss Forest last weekend. Not as nice as the pink one though.

Hi Mully - no, I don't consider it to be 'common', in fact I took a pic of one for the first time recently, and I had no idea what it was either! Nice little flower, though .... | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
