| | | Help please. (Flowers for identification) Any help on identifying these would be appreciated.
The pics were taken at end of July this year on the margins of an arable field near Mere Sands Wood.
Pic 1.
I think it is one of the cabbage family, but can't find anything in my books that seems to match with the cordate leaves.
Pic 2.
No idea what this is. The plant was about 400mm in diameter overall, with the flowers being about 4-5mm across.
Pic 3.
Again no idea. At first I thought it might just be a smaller version of pic 2. But the flowers are clearly different. It was only about 75mm tall overall.
Regards Mike.

I had posted the same picture twice - I've edited the post (at the top of the thread) and it now shows the correct pic.

| | | Re: Help please. (Flowers for identification) Thanks for responding folks.
I think that Tiggrx has all three right.
I've just been checking your replies with my books (and also on-line pics), and I'm now as sure as I can be about all three.
1-White Mustard
2-Lady's Mantle (common variety definitely not alpine).
3-Sheep's Sorrel (found a photo that looks exactly like mine, so sheep's it is).
Thank again,
Mike. |
