I found this by a roadside about a mile from my home, so on chalky soil. What is it please?

I think it might be alfalfa, Pete, but I'm not certain.

well, originally i thought wood-bitter vetch, Vicia orubus but the leaf isnt quite right. When did you take the photo?

thats a nice find that. I always thought lucerne was a bit more blue than that. And I thought it has gone over now. |
