Purple/pink flower in boggy condition
This has be stumped. Was growing in Scottish Highlands in boggy ground. Any ID help would be great:

Its a Spirea of some sort, but not sure which one......

Maybe S. douglasii or the hybrid S. x pseudosalicifolia. Did you notice if the leaves were downy below? If so maybe the former, if not the latter.

Yup, Spirea is a garden escape, but its well naturalised in lots of places
