Wow!!! I can't believe it!!!

Whilst out enjoying the evening off work and testing out my new camera on some plants and local views i spotted on the edge, next to the water, a small black nightshade plant. The fact that this plant was even growing there on an exposed bit of thin soil surprised me, anyway i took a few pictures......





whilst photographing this plant i looked across and noticed what at first looked like another "worse for ware" black nightshade plant so i thought id check it out..... But it wasn't black nightshade it was Hyoscyamus niger Growing in Portsmouth!! and in a completely different area (4 miles away) to were i scattered some seeds sometime ago, basically what i'm saying is this is totally natural, wild henbane

that is a great example of luckiness. my friend was photographing dune helleborines on the southport dunes last year - under his chin was a yellow birds nest!

It is and yet it isnt - i have been at that very spot a few times this year photographing storm clouds and all this time it was there and i never noticed it. To be honest i wouldn't have noticed it if it wern't for that black nightshade plant

I think your black nightshade has the possibility of being green nightshade. Keep going back every now and again and checking what colour the berries are. If any turn black - it is black nightshade, if they all stay green, then it is green nightshade (an uncommon casual in the UK)

I will, but im pretty sure its black
