Was walking around today and couldn't help noticing that the leaves on the birch trees are starting to turn yellow (this is a widespread thing) - infact some are even dropping off!!!! 
This is really odd because here on the south coast this doesn't normally happen till towards the end of September - not end of august. |

I noticed this yesterday whle out at my local reserve. It was quite breezy and the Birch leaves were dropping. It's certainly not due to lack of water, might be lack of sunshine though

It's not just the Birch trees that the leaves are falling off up here in Scotland, I think we went straight from Spring to Autumn - Summer was missing.

Geordie's. |

I have also noticed a lot of leaf yellowing! My Rowan tree has hardly any berries left on, you would think I didn't feed my birds! It seems early for the tree to look so bare of berries. I have noticed that the Rowans that are on the edge of a local B&Q carpark have had hardly any berries at all this year. Last year they were loaded! | | |
