| | | bull rushes Is it possible to dig up bull rushes and move them to start a new bullrush bed?How deep are the roots?Any help would be very much apprecieated .

Jim | And, by the way, you ought not to dig them up from the wild without the landowner's permission. It's not clear from your post if this is what you are proposing or not.

Until fairly recently, botanists regarded Bulrush as the name for Common Club Rush ( Schoenoplectus lacustris), and what is now more commonly called Bulrush was referred to as Reedmace and is Typha latifolia (the plant with the big brown tubular flower heads.) More confusingly, Bull-rushes is a west country name for Marsh Marigold.
