| | | 2 plants in my garden for ID please Some time back, possibly four years, I bought my grandson a cheap packet of wildflower seeds which we sowed in the garden. I didn't note what was in the packet. The two plants below have appeared every year since either from seeds i've collected or by their own devices.
The first is very hairy to the point of being prickly and can reach a height 70 cms. It appears to be strongly structured but is easily damaged by wind and produces 4 seeds per flower. It is very attractive to bees.
The second plant is delicately structured reaching about 30 cm in height. It produces a spherical semi-transparent seed pod with many seeds in segments within the pod.
I don't know if they are wild flowers. Can anyone assist wirh IDs please? |

1. Borage (native)
2. Love-in-a-mist (non-native)

| | | Re: 2 plants in my garden for ID please Thanks for your help. I'll keep on collecting the seeds to sow. It's nice to see them develop and then plant them out in boxes. |
