| | | Re: Violet Hells in Bucks Blimey! I thought I was doing well the other night where I found about 15 plants in one spot! (also close to Princes Risborough) I shall have to make a note to look up that pub for next year. I was due down there again next week but travel is a problem - pity! |

| | | Re: Violet Hells in Bucks One of my favourite walks takes me past that pub, I'll have to do it again soon and look for the Helleborines. I'd wondered where I might see them in the Chilterns. Thanks for the info - nice photos, too! |

| | | Re: Violet Hells in Bucks Hi all,
Not sure I would post detailed locations of a rare variety of orchid on the internet. These plants are still dug up on an annual basis, and there is no need to assist the folk that enjoy doing such things?
I do appreciate your enthusiasm Young Hunter and hope you continue to enjoy your orchids, and other wildlife.
Cheers.
PS these varieties of Epipactis are often depauperate and will not flower properly, as is probably likely to be the case here.
