when a nettle stings you does it lose its sting, eventually getting worn out or does it replace it?....

Hi Leifus
The individual hairs containing the toxins are broken to allow its release. Provided the leaf isn't damaged I would think it is quite possible that they would be replaced.
Great opportunity for some research (for you  )
