I have just been phoned by my friend who has found Mezereon today!!!! Can't wait until Tuesday because thats when I go up for it

much smaller than the garden ones

Today I originally went out looking for some lungwort in a park close to me. It wasn't up but I found some opposite leaved golden saxifrage

And I finally got some wild primroses. The ones near my house in the woods didn't flower this year,

I also got Lenten Rose

and Christmas Rose (but it could be just a washed out Lenten one

)

But in the park near college where the aconites are I found some lungwort, green snowdrop and some croci. I'll take my camera tomorrow and WAB them. and I forgot to mention Early Dog Violet

This is mine - not strictly a wildflower, but a cultivar of a wonderful genus, it always tells me that spring is in the air.
Gorgeous tiny yellow saxifrage, the genus I love to explore and find in the wild - cant wait.
This little belter was from Jack Drake's Inshriach alpine nursery in the Cairngorms about 15 years ago, still going strong!
