| | | Re: Flower of the day Himalayan Balsam that grows in profusion along the banks and hedgerows around here. It might be a pest species but it does look very pretty on mass and it's also beneficial to insects and they need all the help they can get this year. |

me and my friend spent an hour searching for it! then when we gave up, we went to photograph a patch of grass-of-parnassus and there it was! |

For me today it would have to be bog orchids in the New Forest | youre very lucky finding the bog orchids cos I once traipsed around in a bog for 2 hours looking for bog orchid! they are impossible to find unless you have seen them before and know what your looking for! |

Took 100 photos while slowly sinking into the bog and was very close to ending up in it!
