It looks a bit like one of the goldenrods, maybe early goldenrod but don't take that as gospel!

Looking at recent photo I have a hunch it may be Golden Dock, Rumex maritimus- leaves look right + inflorescence looks similar before it colours up. I'm not 100% though! |

Found this pic on the net Rumex maritimus @ Flora.cyberia
It is looking like Golden Dock, I haven't heard of it before ?
Is it classed as native to the UK ?
The canal being dredged two years ago I'm sure is the reason why some new plants are appearing.

I checked the records for Suffolk and it is locally scarce , 30 recorded plants. I will have to wait till the flower comes out fully to see for sure |
