| | | Leek, Sandwort & Thistle ID I recently went up in Cumbria and found these:
This leek had long thin lanceolate leaves and was growing on a woodland edge
This sandwort was growing in a peat bog
This thistle was growing on limestone and moist soil. It was growing with its normal pink form and white form.
I was hoping it was welted thistle. |

2 Heath pearlwort - Sagina subulata
3 Slender thistle- Carduus tenuiflorus
I think i'm correct
a. squill is just coming out
h.pearlwort - you need a bit more leaf in the photo to make a proper id |

| | | Re: Leek, Sandwort & Thistle ID I dont think we were near the sea. we were more up in the mountains. I think autumn squill is more likely than sand leek that was my initial thoughts on its ID. |

| | | Re: Leek, Sandwort & Thistle ID 2. The habitat sounds wrong and petals look much too long in proportion to the sepals for Heath Pearlwort, but it could be Knotted Pearlwort, Sagina nodosa |
