| | | Small red flower with yellow and purple centre Hi
There is this little red flower in my garden. Does anyone know what it is? Unfortunately it is not a clear photo, so I will try to take another shot if nobody can ID it from this one.
Thanks
Chris |

Is it true that the petals only open up when its sunny or is that just a myth?
Tis a lovely flower all the same

Tis a lovely flower all the same | I'm not sure but some flowers are strange. Hawkweeds and Wood Anemone only open in sunlight. And yellow-wort and goatsbeard shut their flowers in the afternoon! |

| | | Re: Small red flower with yellow and purple centre I've only just discovered this website - it is great and I am impressed with the responses. It does indeed match what I found in the garden. It does have black dots under the leaves and the flowers do close in the afternoon.
Thanks |

Tis a lovely flower all the same | Bright days and mainly mronings - not a rigid rule like goatsbeard though. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
