Is this a Dark mullein? Taken Cromford and High Peak Trail, Hopton this morning. Looked at the pics in the Gallery and it does look more like the dark one rather than the great mullein. According to my wildflower book it is just about on it's northern limit here in Derbyshire.

Thanks all, must say I haven't noticed the plant before and it is only in a small section of the disused railway trail.

There's a lot of it growing at Whipsnade Heath, less than a mile from my home. |
