| | | 2 umbellifers for confirmation/ID please These are images of 2 umbellifers taken yesterday and today.
I think (1) & (2) is Hemlock. The plant was 2+ m tall although not near a stream.
(3) & (4) I can't figure out having trawled Wild Flower Key for carrot family.
Help/confirmation please.

| | | Re: 2 umbellifers for confirmation/ID please Thanks for confirmation. I got it right as carrot family and then purple spotted stem is the giveaway. This really was a massive plant, the size of a small tree and well over 2 m tall and spreading. It had suffered some wind damage.
It also appeared to be alone although there may have been smaller plants near by. As it's poisonous and in a Wildlife Trust area next to a foot path should I mention it to the Trust? |

If anybody picks plants in a nature reserve and eats them, without knowing what they are, they deserve anything that comes to them, in my view!
