| | | Yellow flower I took a walk along the sea wall this morning and found a small clump of these beautiful yellow flowers.
Such a lovely colour.

| | | Re: Yellow flower Yes it is attractive - a bold plant with nice colour and structure. Its out in force along a track I regularly walk and my recollection is that it continues well into the Autumn adding a touch of colour when most plants have faded. |

| | | Re: Yellow flower Linaria Vulgaris or Yellow/Common Toadflax. Seeds are often sold in nurseries and plant centres & will self seed quite freely.

| They could be different but similar looking plants from the same family, Scrophulariaceae....
Garden Snapdragons, Antirrhinum majus - the flowers can be red, orange, pink, yellow, white.
Common Toadflax, Linaria Vulgaris - the slightly different-shaped flowers are always yellow. |

| | | Re: Yellow flower I recognised it as I see it quite often here in the Chilterns - in fact I saw some on Ivinghoe Beacon this morning. It's one of my favourite flowers, I really like the two-tone yellow colouring, and the leaves are quite distinctive too. |

| | | Re: Yellow flower Like Jenny says they do look similar to Snap Dragons but put when side by side with Common Toadflax the differences between the two are very noticable! Quote:
