ah that's flowering-rush (not actually a proper rush i don't think but a water plant) and funnily enough I found my first one today as well  nice pic! i dont think its that common |

Yes, Flowering Rush, Butomus umbellatus, in its own family, Butomaceae; a delightful marginal, which I should see next weekend. |
