toadflax - garden escape?

found on the edge of woodland on calcareous soil and also seen by the motorway a lot..

correct. it is a garden escape . I have seen it in loads of gardens.

But which species of Linaria? Or is it a variant of the common blue garden toadflax? I've not seen this one ...

I think this is a pale variant of L.pupurea. There was a thread a few days ago with a similar plant (no.6):
