I think it is,but i'm not 100% sure.If it is a Hollyhock,is it a particular one? Or is it just a Pink Hollyhock,lol.

John | Looks more like Foxglove - Digitalis purpurea to me there are loads about now

That is a foxglove I saw one today in a clearing with the sunshine streaming in on it,dark trees all around,no camera

| Nice one cherrybee. Why did i think it was a hollyhock,lol.It looks nothing like them.As you might've guessed i don't know a lot about wildflowers.

| Unlucky Nightshade,it's gutting when you see an ace photo opportunity & you have no camera.It's happened to me loads.
If the Foxglove that you saw is easy for you to back to,i'm sure oon a similar type day & at a similar time to when you saw it.The conditions will be good again for you to go back with your camera.
I find it a good idea to go back to locations that you think have good photographic opportunities.Go when there's different lighting etc & try taking a series of photos.
