Dark Red Helleborine

If anyone wants to have a very good plant for their list, the dark red helleborine is flowering in Gait Barrows nature reserve near Silverdale in Cumbria. Its a very nice plant and 3 spikes are out.

Re: Dark Red Helleborine

You can also find a rather rare orchid not far from there. If I had had more time at the end of May I would have gone the extra 50 miles or so from where I was staying to see it. Maybe next year....

I did that last year because it was horrible weather last summer so I decided not to take my camera. I found bee orchids and common twayblades. I DIDNT HAVE A CAMERA!
