| | | blackberry cultivar? hey,
i've got a blackberry bush which i acquired when i took over an allotment.. i know it's some kind of blackberry, but it's certainly not a normal bramble..
the thorns are thinner and sharper.
the leaves are completely different,, see picture..
the flowers are pale pink. see picture (it doesn't look pink, but they are)
the blackberries themselves are large, and delicious. mmmm
can anyone help, or is it just some kind of cross breed..
thanks |

Peter | I'd agree, I've seen it a few times in the wild. |

| | | Re: blackberry cultivar? My mum and dad have the cut-leaved variety 'Oregon Thornless' in their garden and every year there are cut-leaved seedlings that pop up in various parts of the garden but with sharp thorns. These are just pulled out but they must be back crosses with the wild ones on the railway line nearby.
