Butterfly orchids
I found this butterfly orchid in the field behing my house (calcareous soil - May/June) and originally thought it was a lesser butterfly orchid but now i'm not so sure. I think it is actually a greater butterfly orchid - can someone tell me please?

I would go for greater butterfly orchid based on position of the pollinium.

Agree on the pollinia; also habitat is good, Greater tends to be more calcicole, though this isn't definitive.

Nice find. Its a lovely plant to find near to where you live!
I too believe its the greater version....
