I think we are getting closer  . The leaf rosettes seem to be very similar at least. |

So you are just left with the leaf to id? | Pretty much so, the leaves appear to be diognostic. Looking through Stace there are aspects of the flower that helps narrow it down to a few species.
For example:
a) Petals white to cream
b) Flowers actinomorphic
c) Ovary partly inferior (sepals arising from its side or top)
d) Leaves all in basal rosette
These three couplets narrows identification down to Saxifraga paniculata or Saxifraga nivalis. The actual structure of the leaves clinch the identification. |
