| | | Can anyone id this for me? This is growing on a sunny, dry patch of chalk grassland that has been left unmown, very close to a garden, so perhaps it's an ornamental plant. The nearest thing to it I could find in the Wild flower key is Yellow Archangel, but the petals aren't streaked, the leaves are not nettle-like and none of the pictures of Y. A. show these green involucres [If that's the right name for the green ruff the flowers are protruding from!] Can anyone clear up the mystery for me? |
