2 plant IDs please.

I took these shots yesterday. I hope someone can assist with an ID.

The first, as can be seen, was in a boggy area. I wonder what it is and will it produce a flower.

The second was next to the boardwalk in Hetton House Woods, a fairly damp environment. I was struck by the oddly shaped leaves. Clearly this will produce flowers later.

Hi - the first is Common Water-plantain, Alisma plantago-aquatica and the second is Marsh Ragwort, Senecio aquaticus

They will both flower soon.

Thanks a lot Jenny. I'll keep an eye on them and watch them flower.

The plantain will make a change from the Mares Tails that seem to infest the wet areas around here and the Ragwort similary for the common variety which is appearing everywhere.
