It's an awesome site isn't it! We've had fields like that fairly near here for a couple of years, although they're back to crops this year.
There's a field of the pink poppies nearby now which looks just as spectacular.

Seeds can be harvested, no problems there. I have some large white poppies in the garden, not sure what variety, but they don't last long, I'm going to try some of these next year...  | | | |
