a strange kind of grass fo I.D please
Not very good pictures im sorry but i didn't have zoom camera and it was also breezy but this grass had little red/ pink flowers.
And then there was this plant which smelt just like a kitchen herb but i cant think which one - might be basil?? Anyway it was growing quite commonly were the ground had been disturbed last year and this winter. |

And thank's for the grass I.D  | I am sure Yarrow would have been used as a herb in the past. I have seen a number of cultivars which once we had growing in a garden I worked as Head Gardener in Warwickshire a few years ago.
