| | | Re: Grass/ Sedge ID's Needed Please Pretty certain it isn't Bottle Sedge - this is the one sedge that I know, I walk past it every day! There's a number of other things it could be. Identifying sedges in the hand is difficult enough.
As with all requests for plant ID some idea of where things are growing (both geographically and in terms of habitat) would help narrow the field.

I know the photos are not very good for Ids as you can't see the height or foilage.
This has been the first year I have really taken notice of all the grasses,rushes and sedges and there are so many of them

| | | Re: Grass/ Sedge ID's Needed Please I would suggest that your sedge is Hairy Sedge (Carex hirta) - The hairy utricles seem to be indicative of this species. |
