| | | Orange hawkweed flower, hairy, ID please I have this flower that has seeded itself this year, never seen it before. It has hairy single stem and hairy leaves (with straight edges) slightly longer but very similar to the mouse-ear hawkweed.
The top of the stem is not a single flower but a mass of flower buds about 10 of them. The flower is orange but looks very similar to the hawkweed type. |

Orange Hawkweed...
Is it ok to leave them alone, I mean it's not going to be a problem weed like dandylions are? And hopefully nothing like Horse Tail? |

| | | Re: Orange hawkweed flower, hairy, ID please I have no problem with Fox & Cubs in my garden Wig. There nothing like dandelions for self seeding I have plenty of those in my garden also, but I just see them as another pretty flower!

| | | Re: Orange hawkweed flower, hairy, ID please Mine's just coming to flowering, looking forward to seeing it. My mind links it up to the house I grew up in, and from there to so many houses I have lived in. My little orange friend will be around somewhere and be something to look forward to.
Oh and the kids and the missus are usually about somewhere. They can look after themselves. |
