Red Clover Dilemma
Growing quite close to each other in the local meadow are two Red Clovers, one is a larger plant than the other and the reds are different colours

Plant 1 the smaller one






Plant 2 the larger one




Are they two seperate species ?

No, they are both Red Clover...they have caught me out so many times as they can look very different!

As well as the native species there are many agricultural varieties grown as fodder crops. Quite a variable plant!
