African flower

I was wondering if someone could ID this flower.
Photo taken in Tanzania but I would like to get some as a house plant if thats possible but I need a name. Sorry the photo isn't very good but our safari guide was even less keen on me taking flower photos than the birds!

Can't really make it out. Was it a small shrub or a herbaceous plant? If the latter it may be some sort of Oxalis.

I'm not at all sure of its form as we weren't allowed to get out of the vehicle and I didn't get very close at all!
The flowers were mainly white but there was a pale pink overtone. They were low growing almost ground hugging but that may be due to grazing! The driver said they were a succulent but I don't think he had any knowledge about flowers his main interest was the big cats!
This patch was in the Ngorongoro crater but I'm pretty sure I saw them on the Serengeti as well. They reminded me of a vinca.
