| | | Its orchid time....arghhh! The title says it all!
The Marsh Orchids are flowering, but I'm having a serious struggle trying to accurately identify some of them
1. Narrow-leaved Marsh Orchid, D.traunsteineri? Its from a location where they are recorded.
2. This one looks very similar to 1. but from different location
3. From same location as 2
4. Is this one of the Early Marsh Orchid subspecies?
5. Western marsh Orchid, D.occidentalis, with very blotchy leaves? |

Wow, you have been busy!! I think the first three are narrow-leaved marsh orchids , but I am not sure about the last two. No. 4 could be Early marsh Orchid, but it could come out as either that, northern or southern marsh orchid. No. 5 If I had to I would hazard a guess at irish marsh orchid (a short one) because it has very blotchy, broad basal leaves. Hope I've helped.
