| | | Is this an orchid and if so which one? Went out for an evening stroll around a local nature reserve and the wildflowers meadows are in full bloom and looking gorgeous - early-purple orchids, yellow archangel, birds-foot trefoil, etc.
This one was growing in a flower meadow. Is it an orchid and, if so, which one?

| | | Re: Is this an orchid and if so which one? Only just getting to grips with Orchids so I am no expert but looking threw Orchids of Britain and Ireland by Anne & Simon Harrap I think this is Heath Spotted Orchid Dactylorhiza maculata.
Can anyone with more experience confirm or put me on the correct track.
