| | Newbie needs some ID help Hello!
New area of photography for me, you'll usually find me on the british birds section. So I'm completely new to flowers in general, I love to take photos of them. Only recently have I started to try an identify and find out a little bit more about them. I have a few here (I have loads, but thought I'd start slowly). I don't have a flower book yet, though looking for recommendations on a good book, so I have to rely on help here and the web.
All of these were taken in Wales. I'm afraid I'm not familiar with any specifics (ie soil types, etc.) so unfortunately all I have is photos to share.

Thanks in advance! |

| | | Re: Newbie needs some ID help 3 is Yellow Saxifrage - Saxifraga aizodes
4 looks to be Common Fumitory - Fumaria officinalis
I'll check the others
Can't nail number one. I'd say it looks like Herb-Robert but it's definitely too big and the leaves are different. Number two 'might' be Tormentil, but I'm not sure. Sorry
Nick

Thanks in advance! | I have recently bought a book on Amazon called Field Guide in Colour to Wild Flowers (Hardcover)
by Dietmar Aichele (Author)
It cost me 1p plus £2.75 P&P
The flowers are in colour sections and further divided into categories of flower shape, structure and habitat. The edges of the pages are coloured so its easy to go to the page you want
I can give you the link if you want it.Not sure if I can post it here but if you want it I can PM it to you |
