| | | Burnt orchid I'm hoping that one of you may know of a good place to see the burnt orchid that is not too far from Oxford for an evening drive out. I know that there are various sites to the south of Oxford but most seem a bit far to get to in time to actually find this orchid before it goes dark! I have been told of a site not far from Didcot but it seems that there are not many orchids on the site and are difficult to locate. Ideally I'd like to know where to go so that I cant fail to find them! Suggestions please! Oh and by the way has anyone actually seen then in flower yet this year? No point hunting for them if they are not out!
Thanks

I am reliably informed there are good numbers in flower now on Combe Bissett Down near Salisbury. I know that is a bit far but I know nowhere nearer Oxford I'm afraid
All the best
