Lots of bluebells

Thought I'd show you a photo of one of my favorite places for seeing bluebells.

As you can see there is little tree cover so the bluebells are out in the open. It just looks like a blue waterfall flowing into a blue lake. I just love the area.

Very nice shot, Bub-les.

Reminded me very much of the Bluebells at Rannerdale, near Crummock Water in the Lake District, which I saw last May. I see plenty of Bluebells in the beech woods of the Chilterns where I live, but I was amazed to see them growing at the foot of open mountainsides.

Yes they're quite a sight out in the open. Its generally thought that such areas were once wooded as bluebells are regarded as ancient woodland markers.
