| | | More ID - help please I hope someone can help ID the plants below please.
The first was taken growing next to a large rock placed in a car park close to the beach at Seaham.
All I can say about 2 is that it has petals like Greater Stichwort but there the resemblance ends. The flowers are about 1 cm.
The third is cropping up everywhere and is attractive to Orange Tip butterflies

| No, 3 is definitely Cucckoo Flower.
Sea Mouse-ear is similar to Common Mouse-ear but usually with 4 petals and sepals. |

Me thinks I need a better book as the picture shows 5 petals but the blurb says 4!

| Every so often (just to be awkward) Sea Mouse-ear does have 5 petals instead of 4.....need to check the bract edges and seeds to be 100% sure |

| | | Re: More ID - help please I'm grateful, as ever, for your help. Having followed up on your suggestions regarding Mouse Ear I think it's Common. I have an image against a measure and the flower is 1cm across - Sea would be half that size (from Wild Flower Key - Francis Rose) | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
