1.
This one was growing in a wet area on the New Forest heathland
2.
This one was growing on a roadside grass verge

The first one is Lousewort, Pedicularis sylvatica and the second is Early Purple Orchid, Orchis mascula |

| | | Re: Are they Orchids? I agree (why bother posting), but I think the Lousewort can very often look quite different. I suppose what I am saying is, look at the structure of the flower and not the overall picture, sometimes the structure will be a better guide.
Now I have confused myself, but I daren't start again. |
