| | | More bluebells Yes, it's that time of year again - my favourite. The bluebells have almost reached their peak around here. I spent the afternoon trying to get some decent photos. Here are some of them....

Amazing the difference between your location and mine. We went for a walk in our bluebell/wild garlic wood expecting to see them out but found that virtually no wild garlic had opened and only the first few bluebells had opened up!
Tried taking shots of the few flowers that had braved the elements but my camera refused to focus on the bluebells! |

| | | Re: More bluebells Ian,
It is very surprising that yours are so far behind us. Ours started flowering in March which is incredibly early. They then stalled for a while during the colder weather - don't know if you saw my pictures of bluebells in the snow taken on 6th April.
I just love bluebells. At this time of year the woods just get more and more blue until they reach a peak.

| | | Re: More bluebells March! No ours had hardly begun growing in March. I've got a few bluebells just out in my garden now, plus seen more in other peoples gardens around here too.
In a more local wood than the one we went to yesterday, I found some in flower about a week ago. Flowering is a bit variable this year around here.
No I hadnt seen your snowy photos before. Nice shots in the snow! |
