| | | Orchid hotspots Apart from Durlston Country Park, are there any other orchid hotspots in wilts/hamps/dorset? I've only ever seen:
Bee orchid
common spotted orchid
pyrimidal orchid
fragrant orchid

| | | Re: Orchid hotspots The Early Spider Orchids are still in flower at Durlston, along with the Early Purple & Green Winged orchids, I was there on Sat 26th Apr.
Martin Down is excellent for Burnt Tip Orchids, Greater Butterfly Orchids & Frog Orchids.
Lesser Butterfly Orchids at Holmsley (New Forest)
As IanS said, Simon Harraps book will give the info that you need.
Also try: | CommuniGate | Orchids of Hampshire & IoW for an idea of where to go & what to see in Hampshire.
Hope this helps,

| | | Re: Orchid hotspots Chappetts Copse, near West Meon for: Narrow Leaved Helleborne, White Helleborine, Fly Orchid, Birds Nest Orchid and Common Spotted.
Noar Hill near Selbourne for something like 12 different types of Orchid.
Yew Hill near Winchester for Greater Butterfly, Fragrant, Common Spotted and Bee Orchid.
A couple of types grow on St Catherines Hill - again near Winchester.
Portsdown Hill - Bee Orchid and var. Belgarum, Pyramidal.
