Does anybody know the identity of it?? | As Tiggrx says it's White Dead-nettle, but these plants aren't of the nettle family, but in the mint family, Lamiaceae (formerly Labiatae). |

| | | Re: What species of nettle is this I'm confused now. In my book it says that it IS part of the Dead-Nettle Family which includes:
Mints (mentha) - of which white dead nettle is one - and Woundworts (stachys) - such as Cat-mint (nepeta cataria)
Confused... you should be! |

| | | Re: What species of nettle is this Ahh so its not a nettle as such but actualy a mint. Thanks Guy's & Lasses.
Looking in my herb book now that i know the name of the plant im looking for (ThankYou), i find intersting (appart from the fact you can suck on the flower for it nectar) is that this shouldn't be in flower untill may and yet this photo was taken last week. This odd as there are a few plants that have yet to even start growing which normaly would have by now. |

Confused... you should be! | Quite correct, but the Dead-nettle family and the Nettle family are different!
