| | | Need help re climbers for art work ! Hi , I am thinking of adding a climbing ivy to my sculpture only they may not grow here ,I have in mind Virginia creeper and/or the poison ivy. If neither grow in uk then just any ivy will do.
Thanks

| | | Re: Need help re climbers for art work ! Where are you going to grow it..As some ivy's are small and can be grown in hanging baskets. Some are very big with big leaves. All are hardy and grow here. Other climbers you could grow are honeysuckle and clematis. The Virginia creeper is also hardy it is not an Ivy. |

| | | Re: Need help re climbers for art work ! Sorry Kayleigh I should explain myself better, I will add the ivy in clay form to my owl sculpture, it has to be a ivy that lives in same place as the little owl, nothing to colorful !
Cheers

Annmaria | Then you really confined to common or English Ivy Hedera helix or one of its subspecies, as there is not much else native to UK. The web will I'm sure give you endless pictures.
There is a subspecies that is hairy, but all the pretty ones in gardens are not native |

| | | Re: Need help re climbers for art work ! I think you mean the ivy (Hedera helix) that is dark green and grows up all the trees in wild wooded areas. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
