| | | Syar of Bethlehem? Had a day out in the most god-forsaken reserve on the planet yesterday. (Rye harbour west). The place looked like a gravel quarry, endless miles of shingle with the odd cabbage in it. I could see in the distance some large ponds but they were fenced off and had little plant life around them. To the north there were some rich areas but these were "Private Property. Keep Out". The paths and trails were poorly marked and soon got me lost, but a quick sneak across the private land got me onto the main "footpath" (unmanaged trail through the brambles).
So overall 1/10 for Rye harbour west
Got this piccy though. I think it's the Star of Bethlehem, any ideas? |

| | | Re: Syar of Bethlehem? There has been a bit of confusion over names recently. British plants have been renamed as O. angustifolium, but O. umbellatum probably occurs as a garden escape as well. I'm not sure of the differences and it all seems very confusing to me |
