| | | Two to ID from NE England :-) Hi,
Ive got a couple of flowers here I just cant find in any of my books.
They were spotted in Weardale, NE England.
This one has small thick leaves seen near its base, this is what throw me, although the petals look something like a pink.
This one had leaves similar to a strawberry or nettle, sawtooth heart shaped, can just be seen in pic. the flowers had no contrasting coloured petals, similar to a spurge or saxifrage.
Any idea gang ? |

| | | Re: Two to ID from NE England :-) Cuckooflower Cardamine pratensis does have this type of leaf at the base of the plant. The second picture looks like some type of Cinquefoil. Hope this helps to narrow it down. |

Thanks gang, those were in my book after all, just I couldnt find them !
Cuckoo flower and ladies mantle seems right, the cuckoo that I found was very small and young and very pale compared to the book picture but the leaves and pettles seem right. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
