| | | Early Flowers around Hetton le Hole
Its nice to see some early flowers in my area. The first I noticed were lesser celedine followed shortly after by the wood anemome. They will carpet areas in the woods approaching Hetton Bogs. All we need is a few sunny days!
I saw the red dead-nettle on the edges of a cultivated field and the close up image is, I feel, very attractive.
I haven't been posting much over the winter months but as the flowers come to life so might I.
PS -. Is there a technical term for flowers that open in the sun such as the celendine and anenome?
